This community is inspired by but not connected r/ebookdeals on Reddit.
Its purpose is for readers to share deals that they find on the web for ebooks through well-known retailers. Additionally, if you are an author and have an interest in posting a notice when you have a price drop coming up, please feel free to let us know, and we can include yours as well. Please avoid self-promotional posts without first contacting somebody on the community management team.
Spam, referral, shortened, and affiliate links are not allowed as this is not a community designed to allow members or mods to make money on their deal findings. Links must be as close to vanilla hyperlinks as possible for the retailer. Links must be cleaned or trimmed of tracking information or when posting or they will be removed.
Please limit posts to time-limited discounts of non-public domain items. Books that are at a permanently low price are great, but not appropriate for this community. The same goes for republishings or cleanups of public domain books.

What you shouldn't do, because corporations destroyed reasonable free-use with the DMCA, is buy ebooks from Kobo and use the easily installed de-DRM plugin for Caliber to strip the DRM, after which you can then sync them with the e-reader of your choice. Which is absolutely the moral and ethical way things should work, if the publishing industry hadn't bought themselves some crooked politicians.
Absolutely do support publishers who sell DRM-free ebooks, though. That's the message we want to send.
I definitely won't look into that plugin. Owning things you pay for is immoral and a sin. Thank you :)
Sometimes, I sincerely wonder just how mortified the founding fathers would have been if you could have communicated Donald Trump in the White House and his actions this term so far; and things and capitalism like renting the heated seat feature in your car.
