If we can clone an extinct animal, I'm convinced we can and have cloned a human, we just haven't been told about it. If the only reason we don't clone humans is morality, you bet a letter agency with no morals has done it.

Honestly I didn't see the utilities of cloning whole living humans, even if they share the same genes with the original they are different people and why Evil-Comp should invest all those money for?

Cheap labor? You can find cheaper labor without spending all that money.

Organ transplant (like "the island movie")?Taking aside the inhumane action of farming humans x bodyparts (thing who would cost a lot to cover up), we still can't create adult clones and any gene editing for fast aging them would impact on their organs too, any Evil company ready to do that would simply have easier results kidnapping random people instead (still an horrible scenario).

The less unlikely would be to clone some billionaire dead son or to clone the billionaire himself but I doubt that a company could base his whole business on such small and high risk market. Ah, and forget mind uploads or things like that, not doable.

I think I agree, what’s the point of a human clone at the moment… maybe my imagination is just weak.

What’s not to like about unlimited numbers of Rupert Murdochs?
